Finally got most of my system built and figured I'd share a few pics. Let me know what you think. #MassiveMini.

Yeah. A little grinder action to get it to fit in there. Nothing too crazy. If you zoom in on the sides of the light bar you'll see what I'm talking about. The bumper cover is not modified though.

I can't wait to see how that light bar looks shining out of the front. I want to do this exact thing to mine once I get my r55.

looks good, any pics of the doors? interested to see where everything went - did you put the 6" subs in the original 6x9 location or are they up front?
im old now...more impressed with staging
i've got a few sets of mmats components i've been waiting for the HK speakers to die to start replacing everything. nothing crazy just 1 for 1 upgrade in stock location. finding a suitable 3.5-4" has been the biggest pita without spending couple hundred each.

I have 6.5" woofers and 4" speakers in the stock door locations. Added the tweeters low, just above the woofers. Replaced the rear 6x9s with 6.5" woofer and tweeter in custom brackets behind the factory grills on both sides. Custom pods made for the 4" speakers in the rear panels. 12" sub in the spare tire well. All speakers actively crossed over for their individual ideal frequency range. I do also have 6.5" subwoofers but they are not currently installed. Was planning to install them in the barn doors and then reset all the crossover points again. So...no huge rush there. Ha.

Really great work

It is refreshing to see someone take time to do a proper installation with the necessary sound deadening materials and clean wiring. I bet that the sound deadening materials made a real impact on the external road noise as well. Coming from a 2001 BMW 740i to 2009 Mini Cooper S Clubman was a shock to the system. My Mini is so much louder inside than what I have experienced with my last 3 cars. I honestly believe that my 2009 Mini is louder inside the cabin than my 1996 Ford F-350 with a 7.3l diesel is.

Great work on your MINI. If only pictures could come with sound...

Enjoy
