The MINI has delayed starting twice over the last 2 weeks. I checked codes last night and found these two-

CAS EWS4 - A10A
MOTOR CONTROL - Accelerator pedal and brake pedal module 2F8F

Search does not pull up much information. I can see the relation with the EWS4, but not well informed on the 2nd code.

Does the Footwell Module have any relationship with the functionality of these two modules. Reason being the FRM was recoded about 2 months ago.

 

Why was the FRM recoded? The FRM in these cars has a high failure rate when updated, and many shops have stopped updating them.

The EWS talks with the FRM and the DME, all 3 computers are integral in starting the car.

 

Had an issue with no tail lights and no brake lights. I am thinking it was possibly coded with the wrong version.
