I have a 2008 Clubman S with 98K and the timing chain decided to go. Does anyone know if I can replace the 2008 engine with a 2011 engine? If not, are there any later model years that would work? Also is there a good source for rebuilt Mini engines?

Unfortunately, you'll need an engine from 2007-2010 I believe. 2011-current were slightly different, mostly in the ecu area and plumbing is a bit different. Maybe some more proficient folks will comment, but you are looking for a N14 engine, 2011 is N18. Good luck, keep us posted.
