My windshield started leaking recently, which Ive (hopefully) had fixed now, but now my alarm wont work. I thought maybe the water fried the module, but when I looked by the light switches I dont see anything resembling a module. Is there some kind of sensor up there or something related to the alarm that might have shorted out when the leak happened?

i answered my own question by properly searching. the receiver bit inside the mirror is fried. Time to head to the dealer and see what this is going to cost me to replace.
side note, am i going to have to reprogram the whole alarm system or just replace the bit?
