So I decided to look through my owner’s manual in my Clubman S we just bought and inside the owner’s manual was a envelope with a black Mini USB Flash Drive with a postcard stating "this is our gift to you". I plugged it into the USB port and nothing happened. Did anyone else get one of these? Is it blank? Is there supposed to be info already on it.

when I bought my new off the lot 2002 I got two boxes of 'bling' from MINI

pens, coffee mugs (that fit the cup holders), stickers, playing cards, journals

When I bought my 7 I got bling too .. but not as much

less from MINI but a bunch from the dealer (umbrella, key protection, free car washes)

may be a dealer contributed blank stick for you to fill up with tunes!!!!!

when I bought y 79 Mini I discovered there was a CD in the (added) player. It was a custom mix. I asked the seller if he wanted it back .... not my style!

I have never left a dealership w/out at least skimming the owner's manual and typically read it end to end b4 driving off. (lot's of time to do that while they dream up ways to extra charge you)

My kids can not drive a car, of our house, until they prove they have read the manual . . . . 20 question test, multiple choice plus a short essay.

So you see, this was a dealer test - you did not read the owner's manual quickly enuf .... this has been passed to the service manger.

i was under the impression that it's standard fare with the car. when i opened up the case with the owners manual it's where i found the usb drive (which is so small to be practically useless) and the iphone cable. thanks mini for two things that are completely useless for me lol
