I am a newbie to this site, Have a 2008 clubman S that has all motormods from alta. I am looking into lowering my mini 2+ inches all the way around. What set up offers you the most amount of lowering, with an over all ok ride and a good price ? I am a buyer, need them asap. Just got the car wrap flat army green!

 

What do you want to do with the car? Track, street, autoX? What do you think you need to fix with the suspension? Is low the only criteria you have?

Just looking for an over all semi smooth ride, as well as getting low. Price range is around $1000.00 bucks. I am just going to be using it on the street. Vmaxx any good ?

 

I would not buy or get in a car with Vmaxx.

I would try ST coilovers, KW v1 perhaps. Look at the used market. Sometimes you can pick up something really good like bilsteins or kw v2 for under 1k. Be patient as they do come up.

Before you make up your mind, try going to one of your local Mini clubs as talk with the members. Sometimes they can take you for a ride for you to feel the ride quality and handling.
