New 12 Clubman shortly off lot needed servicing

Hi Folks,

Just got my Justa clubman a few weeks ago. After driving it off the lot I started hearing a strange sound...was too giddy with excitement and ignored the sound(thinking it would go away..wearing it in etc). Anyway after 60 plus miles brought it back to the dealership. They were super helpful , checked it out and it ended up that the water pump pulley was missing one bolt and the other two were loose. The friction wheel and accessory belt had some damage and had to be replaced . A new bolt for drive wheel was put in to.
That being said the car is now driving sweet, the service department was very helpful and got my car in and out that day. Super enjoying the car, lets hope i got my bad luck out of the way....

Opinions anyone? Could this have been foreseen at any stage prior to my getting the car? Should i be worried? Anyone else had similar issues?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

You didn't test drive the car before taking it off the lot? So other than that, no, there really isn't anything you could have done.

I don't think it could have been seen beforehand unless you had test drove it and heard the noises then. Have fun now since it is running well for you
