Setting aside the conversations involving the pros and cons of the MINI extended warranty and the option of after-market extended warranties, what are you all seeing as a good price to pay for the MINI extended warranty?

(This question is in regards to the regular extended warranty, not the extended service warranty.)

Because I have the Mini Connect I went with the extended and I believe it was for 4 years on top of the original. The salesperson explained that there are two types of extended without service included and I opted for the more expensive of the two because of the Connect. Pretty sure mine was $3600 though I'll have to get the paperwork from home to double-check. My wife got the runflat tire/wheel extra warranty for $750.

Is there an extended warranty that includes the extended bumper to bumper service - as they have on the new car?

 

MINI offers two extended contracts, a service one and a mechanical/parts one. People often get confused and mix the two together. The maintenance is arouind $1800 for 100k miles and the warranty as discussed above can be $2-4k with up to a $100 deductible I think, depends on miles and months chosen.
