Price

I'm looking at a brand new fully optioned S that the dealer is giving me $3K off. It's sticker price is $34,350, but I'm just not that excited about the color (laser blue). The discount and the interest rate is swaying me towards picking it up.

What do you guys think?

color is very important to me since i'll be driving the mcs daily. i don't want the 'what if' thoughts. as for the discount, it's pretty good. bear in mind that invoice is usually 10% difference from msrp.

Thanks CCC, I agree about the color. I'm going to go back this weekend and give it one more look over and see if I could live with the color. Otherwise I will have to order a 2012 with no discount.

Good call on revisiting...you should really like the color. The last car I had I hated the color and as petty as it sounds it made me dislike the car alil. When MINI shopping there was a great deal on one but I hated the color my Mom tried to convince me that it wasn't a big deal about color considering all the options I was getting. I decided to pass on it and I'm glad I did because I absolutely love my MINI and its color.

don't settle for the no discount crap. there are dealers out there that will do $1,000 to $1500 off MSRP on custom orders.

I agree that getting the color you want is important. I bought a black w/ silver off-the-lot and I'm happy with it. Still, next time, hopefully a few years from now, I will likely order just what I want. So, I guess I'm suggesting that you bargain hard, order the 2012 and enjoy the anticipation of it's arrival.

I agree with Radio Flyer! Check out other dealers too, because competition is good for your wallet!
