Don't take it too seriously. The "this thread is useless without pictures" thing is a joke commonly used on the internet to encourage people to post pictures when the topic of the thread begs for photographic backup.
What kind of pictures do you need? It's an exhaust!! It's not a color matched custom stitched interior!
Stating "This Thread is Completely Useless Without Pictures" is in my opinion objective.
Here's a suggestion, in the future before you spam someones topic try this...

Back to the exhaust review.....
www.wundercarparts.com has it for about that same price.
NM CB Exhaust $950
Alta CB Exhaust $800 at 20% discount... (they always have 20% off sales)
Borla CB Exhaust $950
MagnaFlow CB Exhaust $561
Essentially you can get a DDMworks RIS or DoS Intake, and the MagnaFlow exhaust for the same price as just the exhaust alone if you we're to go with the other brands.....did I miss something?
All the reviews I have heard and read say Alta has drone under hard acceleration, and is hard to fit on also. No reviews on NM except for one, where the user was given the exhaust n/c, so that review will be biased for sure. Looks like a few of us have used MagnaFlow, for those that have it installed, how is the cabin noise at 85 mph? Everything I am seeing says it's a decent system. Looks like MadDane had some fitment issues/clunks...any exhaust shop should be able to fix that fast, though. Did you get those fixed?
Thanks for the reviews and thoughts on MagnaFlow....I think I will order one up shortly....

TChezem,
"I ended up torching the Hanger flanges on the Catalytic pipe and bending them both down approx 1" which in turn brought the front of the exhaust up. This seems to have solved the clanking."
It was a bit more work than I expected but it sounds great at idle and full throttle. No drone what-so-ever!
Hands down the BEST Cat-Back deal so far for the Clubman S!

I would still really appreciate seeing pictures of a car with the magnaflow installed. How do the tips look in the bumper? The tips were the one thing I didn't like about the previous MINI magnaflow systems for the r50 and r53.
I installed the Magnaflow system on my Clubman S about a month ago. It is not overly loud and no drone. Sounds deep under WOT. Nice deep sound at idle. The tips look awesome, very well made. A good bit larger than the stock ones. I'll see if I can post some photos this week. I beleive that the MF website has a few videos, so you should be able to check it out there also. Fitment was a little challenging to get everthing to line up perfectly. The only thing I don't like is the streaks on the tips that moisture in the system leaves. However, this easily wiped away. Overall I'm glad I went with the MF system.
Damn...
I am drooling... 2 days to go...
Now, that is one dirty Mojo... I would never take a photo of my dirty Mojo

Here in Toronto, it's illegal to drive a car dirty like that
Thanks for keeping the suspense alive...

Washed Him today....
Now I have to apologize for posting photos of my dirty car
...
But, it's a crappy spring day in Toronto, raining all morning...
Came back from the shop and MAGNAFLOW is under BROWNSUGAR...
Thanks to slimjimtell for passing this kit to me in Canada...

No problems with fitment, mounting or else...

I never tried any other aftermarket pipes on MC, so there is no expert here. But, I love the sound of it. No droning. No unwanted rubbing noises, no clunking... On a open road it seems that engine "breeds" better and I can listen and shift better by hearing the pipes. Especially between 3000-4000 RPM the sound is a beauty.
In all, I am 100% happy with the choice, and recommend this kit.
Jim, thanks again!

I put my order in yesterday. Price is up to $594.45.
Also received this e-mail.
I'm patient...

Scott,
I am sorry but the exhaust you purchased had to be sourced directly to Magnaflow and they are currently on backorder. The ETA they are showing on their site is 8/13. I apologize for the inconvenience. We will forward you the tracking information as soon as it becomes available.
Thanks,
Dan

Okay, I have been reading this and thinking of a new exhaust (Magnaflow because of price) and a CAI (which I have already purchased) but before I install these I have to ask. Does anyone with these items installed use the Bluetooth setup to make and take phone calls? How bad does it make the call quality suffer? I tend to drive a lot and use my phone a ton, I don't mind more sound when I am driving hard, but 70 mph and under not driving hard I would prefer to have the sound manageable.
Any thoughts?
The CAI that I plan to install is: http://www.nobsengineering.com/****%20R56.htm

I have Magnaflow and JCW intake on my R55. What I gained mainly is the quality of sound and a bit of "peppines" not loudness at all.
I am not a weekend racer, far from it. I even never got a speeding ticket in MINI (so far), but I do like to let it loose sometimes...

I have a Garmin GPS and use blue tooth with it (no OEM blue tooth in my R55). No issues when using my Blackberry...
Again, I notice the main difference in quality of sound not level of sound with new pipes.
My advice: Just do it!

P.S. That intake looks bad a$$.... A bit much for my taste...
Thanks Tata Steva, I haven't gotten a ticket since 1993 in my Isuzu Amigo... of course my Valentine One can be thanked for that at least for the last 2 years while I drove my Jaguar, but my Mini is so much more fun... so might need a Laser Jammer in the Future.
Normally I would have just had a local shop build my exhaust, but I haven't found one here in the Cincinnati Area that I have had a chance to see there work.
