Clubman almost here, need advice

First off, I wanted to say thanks for all the great information here. This forum resembles another I frequent. Lots of helpful info and not too much ego.

I take delivery of a Clubman tomorrow that I charged with doing some pretty serious modifications on. This will be my first Mini to mod so I am a bit anxious. I have been reading these forums for weeks to become familiar with the pitfalls.

I will not get into the details of what all I am doing but I can definitely say without a doubt, you will be impressed once we are finished.

The advice I need is on ride enhancement options for the Clubman...
We are going to be putting more weight in the back end along with a rather large item on the roof (think very large roof box). I haven't been able to find any air bags or booster springs for the Clubman. I would like to have some options to consider if the standard springs sag too much.

Any ideas from any of you Clubman or Coupe owners?

I estimate the additional weight to be in the 400-500 lb. range.
Everything will be locked down during transit but I am definitely concerned how the ride will be effected.

The only OEM option I know of is available IN EUROPE ONLY and is the factory R55 trailer towing package. It includes stiffer rear springs. I researched this topic in 2008 when I bought my 2009 (week 37) R55. I do not know a source for Euro parts but I just wanted to let you know about the availability, at least overseas. There was a NAM forum thread on this spring issue back in early - mid 2008. Try a search. ajm

Thanks for the lead. Will do some more looking. Hopefully I will not need to beef it up at all. I did find what looked to be generic AirBag suspensions listed for a Mini but nothing spring related besides racing stuff.
