I was just quoted $1595.00 for the 6 year, 100,000 mile maintenance contract. This is quite a bit higher than what I heard was being charged for the same contract last year. Has it gone up, or was I being taken? I said that I would think about it.

 

Tell'em you'll pay no more than $1295. Then check around at a few other dealers more willing to haggle, if they flinch.

 

depends on where you buy the contract. for example florida considers a service contract as insurance therforethe contract is regulated by the state and can only be sold at msrp .

Too late for me on this, I agreed to pay the full 2k - not knowing I could negotiate it down :(
