When my Coupe was in for repairs the dealer gave me a Clubman, as a loaner, that was done up as a woody using vinyl graphics. It was horrible. Looked fake from two blocks away. Not surprisingly, it was the last MINI loaner they had available. The woman that did the paperwork was apologetic about it.

Those vinyl graphics are downright cheezy. I'm talking about using real wood to restore the secret the heritage of the clubman. Wood is classy, and expensive.

Yah, that's the MINI Delta kit from Japan. I'm not really a fan though. The side pieces stick out too much and look like they're just pieces taped onto the car (which is what they are I guess). If they were just a little thinner I think it would help a lot.

I was offered one of the Classic "Woodie Mini's" in the mid-80's for $600. bucks. Turned it down due to the unavailability of the wood back then. Should have bought it and thrown it in the back of my garage. That's OK, I was able to buy my 72 Dino for $22k the same year.

I modeled my grain after the 'English Oak' that comes with the interior wood package

No it's real wood... Just some gaudy italian interpretation. We need a darker wood.... A gray-black wood would work on the Hot Chocolate color.........

I agree with Rally... a little thinner and I think they've got it.
Does anyone know if this is available in the U.S.? and at what price?
(My yen to dollars calculator isn't working)

I think the problem is the extreme difference in contrast. This wood, with its high level of contrast, doesn't seem to lend itself well to this application. Interesting wood, but the wrong situation...

I like the wood side mirrors and the base under the rear doors but the other kit is downright gaudy.

The wood trim all over the doors and sides is hideous. If you just do the off color trim, down the pillars and the bumper only that would look really nice.

You want wood to be a classy accent and not a distraction to the design.
