R55 Transmission Replaced at 16k Service
Transmission Replaced at 16k Service
I just took in my 2008 Clubman S for it's first check-up. I asked them to check the shifting from 4th to 5th and 5th to 6th because it required a ton of muscle and was rough. They called me back and said after a "Puma" investigation that I needed a new transmission. Has anyone else had this issue? Is it reasonable for me to request a new 36k warranty for this new transmission? Thanks, Kirstan

Now if it was replaced at lets say 33K then you would get an extended time on your warranty to 12K from mileage of replacement.
But as you have more warranty mileage left than a replacement would normally come with i doubt they would extend the warranty any farther.
EDIT: but of course you can ask
i'd expect a new warranty - for the new transmission- i am having issues with them ....leaving the radiant coolant cap off during my one yr service and they are replacing the engine AND extending the 36K warranty to 100K.
