R55 Brakes
Brakes
While at MITM I was having my 2009 HC Clubman windows tinted. At the same time another HC Clubman was having a Clear Bra installed. Mine has 16 inch wheels, the other Clubbie had 17's. What was immediately noticeable is the front brake caliper size. The calipers were orange in color (not really red), and the car had no indication of JCW, nor were the calipers marked JCW I am assuming the other car was a 2009 based on the bonnet paint condition and it had factory wheels. My calipers are silver colored. My question is does factory supplied 17 inch wheels change the brake caliper size requirement. I am getting ready to change wheels to 17's. I realize bigger calipers mean better stopping power but it doesn't make sense that I would have to consider changing brake calipers. BTW having 2 HC/Black Clubmans in the tint/bra booth was a sight.
Mine got bigger when I painted them red - and I am stopping quicker too.
Kidding aside they do look bigger now that they are Red.

They could also have been S spec calipers, they're bigger than standard non-S Coopers.
I used this on my calipers when it was new, only mine are black. Had it on my S2000 and they still look new after 50k and 60+ Full Blown Race track Time Trials, read (Super High Temps).
