An A3 is just a fancy GTI, so if I'm going to pay a premium for the car, it should have AWD. The 135 is rwd and BMW's are notoriously poor snow cars. I need something that I can take skiing. Plus, I think the BMW 6-cylinder is just too smooth for me.

The GTI is probably near the top of my list, with the Mini. I have amazing memories of mountain roads and my GTI's. But I don't think the current ones are quite as interesting to drive. Maybe I'm just romanticizing my old cars. But they were great in the snow.

 

someone mentioned the new Camaro ...they are pretty sweet, yet I wouldn't buy a GM or Chrysler ...Chrysler has already said they will not honor warranties and are cutting loose 700 dealerships ...I think GM will probably do the same ...it's not a gamble I want to take.

If/When I replace my MINI it will be with:
-Porsche Cayman
-Porsche 993 (911 Turbo from the early-mid 90's).
-Porsche 83 SC with a super tuned engine
-Another Porsche 930 that is highly modified.
-Possibly a Mini JCW ..yet my MINI S is about as fast as a stock JCW so not sure i'd want to trade it for one.

Got to say I love Porsches. Mini's handle great, but Porsches handle GREAT.

 

Just canceled my order after picking up a Cayman S although I'll never leave the MINI family.

I have a three here in NC and a double unattached in DC where the 928 now lives so everyone has a place to sleep.
