R55 Horizon Blue Clubman owners
littleone - very nice! Do love that HB color and hope they keep it around for a long time so that someday perhaps I can have one.
Since you're from The Nutmeg State, you ought to stop by our regional group's site: NEMINI.org http://nemini.org/index.php?referredby=59 where you'll find a very active CT group in particular.

Thanks Otra for the link to NEMINI. I'm looking forward to attending a MINI event. Maybe once all this snow melts!
Dragon Wagon, I just loved the color, UCONN didn't have anything to do with it. Just a happy coincidence
I've been driving all over Connecticut since Saturday and haven't seen even 1 MINI, never mind a clubbie. Hopefully I'll get my first wave on the way to work tomorrow. Stayed home today. Snow Day

Sorry Artful Mini, no new pictures. I'm taking a grad class that is kickin' my butt. Papers and presentations are taking up my time. Although I do have just over 2,000 miles on the clubbie in just a month. Thank goodness for a nice long twisty commute
I'll be road tripping to Newport, RI at the end of April and will be sure to get some good shots then. Spike1201, I hope that phone rings soon. I can't believe my HZ Blue Clubbie has been all alone for a month now. We need some company
Great color - and I love your interior seats!
I'm guessing that this still may not convey the true Horizon Blue and that it changes a bit with the lighting. I can see that I was correct, however, and that I really like the color! If that color stays in the MINI fold long enough, I may just have to "collect" it.
Very nice and congratulations, too!
P.S. I see spring hath sprung in Northern VA - you're lucky!!! And we northerners are jealous.

Otra,
You are right about the lighting on the HzB color. It seems to be different shades of blue depending on how light or dark it is outside. During the daytime, it is not really all that dark. It is more of a 50-50 mix between grey and blue. But at night, it seems more like a navy blue. My Honda Prelude which is metallic red is that same color day or night. Same goes for my metallic dark green Honda Odyssey. Regarding springtime - Northern VA certainly has cold days but right now we are hanging in around 55-65F daytime temps. A week or so ago, temps were quite a bit lower and temps at night still have the capability of moving into the 30s, though, with each passing day (as is the case elsewhere), the nights are warming up a bit.
SaltNPepa,
There is another HzB Club ? I guess I have not yet explored all the Forums.

Artfulmini,
I like your photo of my MINI better than my own photo !
Just had a clear Bra put on full bonnet, headlights, fog lamps, bumper and fronts of the outside mirrors. Rob @ ProForm in Ellicott City, MD did the install and he did a great job !!!! He uses 3M matl (8 mil) and his pattern is a one piece for the whole bonnet. He did it while I waited ! Good conversation too !
and I see you turned 50 this year...well I am not exactly gloating about this but I turned 60 in April.

Pick her up in the morning!!!!
Hi Everyone,
Well we finally made the decision! My wife NEEDS a new car, well not really our 2002 Liberty has 90K miles and is still in excellent shape, but she DESERVES a new car that is purely for fun (and can haul our border collie mixes around
).
Well I pestered her for a couple of weeks now and backed off then put the pressure on her to determine what she WANTED in the car. When I got the "final build" from her I went to the dealer today and they had the "almost perfect" car for her. The only thing missing was the rear fog light that I wanted and she could care less about
.
Several folks here have been searching for me and there are NONE like what she wanted except...lo and behold....at our dealer!
I managed to get over there this afternoon and it was a great experience. I did not "steal" it out from under them as they typically go for MSRP from what I can gather, but the dealer did take some off of the price, will tint the windows and sunroof for us free of charge, and they threw in rubber floor mats for us! They are wonderful people and I honestly can say they were the furthest from what I would expect from a dealership. No Pressure. No Hassles. Very Friendly. Most of all, they are local and 16 miles from our home!
The "baby" is being detailed in the early AM and we pick her up then! Here are a few pics I snapped. Please excuse the poor photography as I am not very good at it and the sunlight here in the high desert is very bright. The colors do not show up well in my pictures but you can see some shots with the doors open and such. I will take more in the future and post them here later!
So here goes.....

Glad to finally be part of the "club"
Regards,
Mike

Mike,
I posted a congratulatory message to you in another forum last night and came across this one this morning. That's a great looking car you have there and I look forward to more pictures of it tooling around your beautiful state. Will you be getting one of my favorite state license plates on it, the New Mexico Zia plate? I think it would look fantastic on your car.
As I mentioned before, we are getting ready to order a Horizon Blue/Silver JustaClubman with roof rails. The rails are for attaching our Yakima bike and kayak carriers. And you mentioned your dogs. Although we regularly haul our two 80-pound Labs in our Cooper S (rear seats folded down, dogs secured by harnesses attached to the rear seatback anchor points), I am looking forward to having a bit more room for them in the Clubman.
Congrats again, and happy motoring!
Jay

Thanks Jay!
We are going with the Balloon Plate as my wife likes these best....her choice!
You will not regret this vehicle at all when you get it! OMG it is fun fun fun! And the added benefit of the extra space is the perfect fit for us dog owners that need "a little extra"!
Going to give her a bath now and do a bit of my own OCD detailing!

The roof is HB just like the rest of her. Her "boot" has the black C-pillars. If we went with the Black roof it would look toooooo black for us. I will post some pics later as we just "Bathed" her!

Mike, I really REALLY like that you chose the same color on her roof.
I am in the process of thinking about trading in my 2008 CR/black MC for a Clubman S. Am between the horizon blue like yours and SS.
Love my Chili Red but want something different for the Clubbie.
I too have two 80 lb furry love things that need more room. Their 2000 Tahoe is just too damn unreliable anymore...more money going into it then should...time to continue my Mini loveaffair
Thanks for sharing your gorgeous car with us
