Install Question on OEM Roof Rack (not rail)
I posted this question on the sticky thread at the top of the forum, but no one seems to look there anymore.
Has anyone taken any pictures of the locations of the gutter molding that needs to be removed?
I can't tell on mine where the perforations are and I don't want to blindly start ripping at my gutter.
Before and after pictures of the locations would be great, or hints as to what and where to look for the locations.
Thanks guys

mdot,
In the PDF it explains how to measure and find the opening where the Rubber should be able to be taken out.
The only other tip i can give you is that there should be a small slit in the rubber part of the rain gutter to allow it to be pulled out. If you slide a credit card in behind the rubber (betweent eh roof and the rubber) and press out slightly while moving it along the length of the car you should be able to see these slits.
If you have any othe problems please PM me, i generated the PDF

I looked for slits, but couldn't see any and didn't want to chance it. Using the card is good advice. I'll try it tomoorw in the light. Thanks.
Can anyone take a tape measure and give a distance from the B pillar (or c depending on which side)?
I have the official Mini instruction book, essentially the same thing as the PDF thanks for pdfing it. It just has a pretty vage picture with arrows point to locations, no measurments or refernces.

Please print it our and you will see where i have put picture in it to show how to measure where the slots are located.
Okay. I'm man enough to admit I'm an idiot. I downloaded your pdf a while back but opened up another I had downloaded and never realized I mixed it all up. Yours is exactly what I was looking for as I'm sure you were aware. I can only hope a moderator can delete this whole post to keep my idiocy from re-emerging in other peoples searches lol
Sorry. My bad.
And Thanks!
