Lots of choices on options - the limit is your pocketbook. I kept it simple and others have covered most of the options I chose.

Definitely love the xenon headlights, especially on back roads down in Maryland. I had read Mini reviews and some dissatisfaction with the "regular" headlights, so ordered the xenons. You might use the search function on this site to look at any other posts/opinions on the xenons vs. regular.

Roof rails are wonderful; look IMO less clunky than racks. Looking forward to accessories later this year.

We have the premium pkg with sunroof. My wife insisted on it. I would rather not have it as the sun can really be a pain. We did have the rear windows and sunroof tinted (about $350). It helps a lot.

I would get LSD. If I had read up on it ahead of time I would have gone with it and maybe the DTC as well. The DSC works fine for my wife.

The missing switch doesn't bother me at all. And, the std suspension is good enough for most driving. If you're going to autocross or race it then go full up on it.

We aren't music junkies so the std radio works just fine. Did not get the bluetooth or any of that as we don't live in our car with that kind of stuff. We have a separate GPS so it takes care of those things.

And we do have the 6sp automatic.

Ours is red with black top/stripes. If I had thought a bit I would have gone for black wheels as well.

We love the sunroof. During the hot summer months we bought a sunshield that fits in there and it worked great, can't recall the site but found it via NAM, it was about $50. This time of year I absolutely love the sunroof.

The usb key option is my 2nd fave, its fabulous. I bought a key big enough to hold virtually my entire cd collection. Its so nice to have every song I love and never mess with an actual cd anymore.

Heated seats, omg...love them. I crave them. Right now I wish I had that radiating heat on my back. I was running the heated seats in the summer when I got too cold in the a/c! Now that its cool outside those seats are incredible.

Lounge leather, looks fabulous. The sport seats feel so good. I love the feel of the leather, it was a wonderful splurge.

The xenons, you won't truly appreciate these until you are on a dark road at night.

The multi function steering wheel is another fave, I love working the radio controls and cruise control is a must have on road trips.

get the f.fog lights

I really like the front fog lights on our 06 coupe. ordered fogs for our clubman. mebbe going into production this week!
the fogs are really effective for lighting up the near periphery on suburban roads in deer country. the number of times i have seen that grille/hood destroyer lurking/contemplating a run with the aid of the fog/driving lights has made me flick them on most nights in the semi rural areas of our town.
even with no fog.
oh, and they look good. no denying the full toggle bar envy issue, either

best
