Clubman footwear

Just a heads up for those looking to snag a pair of Piloti driving shoes on the cheap. I put this in the Clubman thread so all the Clubby owners can snake them before the word gets out.

I saw a thread on one of these forums that someone discovered Piloti driving shoes (current selling models) at Ross (dress for less.) Since I was researching Piloti driving shoes (that generally start at $80)...it caught my eye. So...out of 3 Ross stores w/i 30 minutes of driving in Sarasota, FL ...2 had several pairs of Pilotis...at $19.99 (several different styles/models..all $19.99). So...if you are interested ...it may behoove you to check out your local Ross to see if you can snag a pair in your size. I grabbed a blue pair to go with my new Lightning Blue JustaClubman. http://www.piloti.com/products/produ...rod_sku=PR13-7
Some big retailer probably bought these not really knowing what they were.

Cheers,
Peter

From the beginning, Piloti Driving Shoes were designed for anyone who desires the best in racing and driving shoe performance. These are people who want a high-performance shoe for heel-and-toeing and other fancy footwork. But what makes Piloti really special is the unique blend of styling and comfort for everyday use on the streets. Here's what makes us so special:
  1. Patented Roll Control™ spherical heel for unique cushioning behind the heel bone while in the car. Once outside the car, they support your natural stride with a rubber heel wrap for durability and grip,
  2. Athletic construction offers you good cushioning under the foot; unlike typical racing shoes or driving moccasins that have none. The unique "Toe Spring" aids in all-day comfort in and out of the car,
  3. Reinforced Lateral Side of the Right Shoe for easy heel-to-toe downshifting. Plus, the reinforced upper and outsole rubber wraps up the side of the midsole,
  4. The Race Performance line of shoes has NOMEX® lining for fire retardant safety,
  5. High-quality suedes and leathers with pigskin and tongue facings,
  6. Removable sockliner supports orthotic needs
From the bottom up, Piloti Driving Shoes are built for performance and comfort-whatever you're driving or doing.

Today I used my special Adidias driving shoes.

They're called Flip-Flops.

I checked a few of the Ross locations here in AZ yesterday, none of them had the shoes - must have been a purchase for the East Coast locations?

Thanks for the heads up, though!

Or you could just buy MINI Clubman shoes from the MINIUSA motoring gear site for $120.00. I see them only in black and hot chocolate for now.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I just picked up a blue suede pair for $20.00. I feel like a better driver already!

I have SE Rainbows. Limited to 1,000,000 pairs. They really provide ample heel to toe roll when the heel pad wears off to the point that you fall down when it rains.
