Love it, and it's nice to see your beauty again. BRG looks so good with those Maine license plates.

I think that the Clubman is an SUV by the typical American-SUV-driving persons driving habits. Meaning they take their Wrangler to the grocery store. The Clubman is not an SUV in the literal and original sense of the term.

agreed on the color coordinated license plates ... and now I see what you mean by the reflective barn doors OTRA (from another thread)

How does Hot Chocolate go with the Maine agriculture plate? This is the one I ordered. Should be in soon.

Very nice indeed! It has a frontiersman flavor to it.

I had no idea about the relationship of Chocolate and Maine agriculture.

Speaking of frontiersman, one of my favorite auto tags are the ones from Wyoming.

The computer generated graphic doesn't do it justice. It's actually nicer. And it's hard to tell, but the M in MINI is covering up a picture of a child who is holding the man's hand. We have our own jokes about that plate here at work, but they aren't appropriate for this forum.

I can only imagine re the jokes.

Now you're making me feel like getting some more attractive NY plates, but I hate to pay that annual fee.

Maine is cheap... only $15 for the vanity fee and $15 for the specialty plate, and that money goes to a good cause.

Out of curiosity, how much is the annual fee for NY plates? In Maine, it's $20 the first year, then $15 every year thereafter.

Whoever wrote that lame article has relatives working at an SUV plant.
They've cut a shift at the GM Arlington, TX plant..."temporarily."

The barn doors make the Clubman stand out to anyone driving behind you.
The Clubman is completely functional.

I should post a pic of my laser blue clubbie with the Maine lobster plate. The color matches quite nicely. As soon as I take one, I'll be sure to put it up, but it may be a few days.

Personalized Empire plates are $43 for passenger and commercial vehicles, with an annual fee of $25.
But when it gets into customized plates, be they for a good cause, an organization or whatever it gets a little more specific...while it's $43/$25 for any plate number on a custom plate, it can be anywhere from $68/$50 to $113/$50 for personalized custom plates. Here's the link: http://www.nysdmv.com/org.htm I like these: the Bluebird, the Donate Life and the Pets (if they ever post) and since I would gladly support these groups, I suppose I should ante up.

Wow, that is quite a range. Makes the Maine fees seem paltry in comparison. But given how the awesome power of the American dollar right now I'll take it.

I learned something while in Europe a few years ago, that made me realize... who needs a stinking SUV

( Note to the the thread terrorists: the who needs a stinking SUV is a joke. Understandably some folks do need those things for their small tribes )

10-20 years from now, SUVs will be the Polyester Leisure Suit of the early millenium years.

I hope so my friend. I pray for the day these behemoths vanish from Miami roads.
