IM(not so)HO most estates look better than their saloon/sedan counterparts anyway.

Ah, so that is the AC Schnitzer-tuned Clubman! After seeing a few other pics I don't know what the good doctor is talking about!! It's much, much better than their efforts w/ the first gen MINI.

 

I don't see anything particularly offensive about that first pic. We all have different color/stripe preferences that range from mild to wild. My guess is that what bothers the OP about that picture is the fact that it is a Clubman and he doesn't care for its looks as compared to the hatch.

 

Could also be that funny looking thing behind the scoop on the bonnet. Or maybe the odd lip on the lower front end.

Yep, could be any combination of things that make the AC Schnitzer version what it is (maybe even the over-sized wheels). While not anything I'd care for, I hardly think it's as ugly as implied.

Maybe eventually, he'll chime in and be more specific...

 

Without a follow-up explanation, the post can only be considered trollish in nature. If so, that's disappointing for a person with that many posts.

I suggest letting this thread die until there is a response.

I see DrPhil's point, that is pretty fugly

HC/B Clubmans need BLACK wheels. Putting shiny chrome wheels on a Hot Chocolate is just plain dumb. The side graphic? Meh, too flashy for such a classy color.
