R55 Which remote wins?
Which remote wins?
Our Clubman has the convenience package and its really nice. It's not an issue but we were wondering if anyone knows which remote wins if they are both in the car? I haven't had time to set different options for each remote and then see which one is used.
Nope, I'm fairly sure that it knows which one is driving.
I think that the sensors are fairly directional as I keep mine in my pocket or on a carabiner and my fiance has hers in her bag, often times in the passenger footwell. I've also changed most of my settings while she has not, so we have a pretty good sample.
We'll both walk up to the car and -most- of the time, I push the driver's door button first, sit down and it recognizes my settings.
Occasionally, she opens the car first from the passenger side and it still seems to know my settings when I turn the car on.
We did manage to trick it on one occasion and it did not load my settings even though I was driving: We were both standing by the barn doors and then i sat down to drive but my settings did not load up. I was concerned that they had been erased somehow but after a pit stop, everything was back to normal.
