FYI, the 2011s come with a roller-style cargo cover. I've yet to see it first hand (it's on ze ship now though!) but it's supposedly a huge step up from the current. It might be worth it to some who need it but the current is impractical. You may be able to just swap them out...

In my opinion the cargo cover is not very useful! For one thing, if one lowers the backseats than the cover needs to be removed because it's in the way. Like others have done, I took it out.

I use mine every day, computer bag and goodies go there. At least there is a little privacy back there to keep valuables out of view. I don't like clutter in the front seat or the floor board.

I also like the way it creates a rear deck rather than a big hole behind the rear seats.

Concur. Mine remains in the back of my Clubman for much the same reasons.

The '11 version is vastly improved. Have it on mine.

They probably use the same one for the coupe, so it's not long enough. I've had one of those things for my last 3 cars, and one of my wife's, and they end up in the garage. Useless.

So, has anyone looked at changing the old one for the new retractable one? I'm sure the plastic coverings the old grips on at the sides will have to be changed as well, but what is the total cost? Will have anything else to be changed as well? If you have or are planning to, please post!

My '10 didn't have it when it left the dealer 3+ weeks ago, but I went back last Saturday and they gave me one. I'm glad I got it. I'm sure it'll be an off/on thing.
