Finally took delivery of our new Clubman last night!!!

Got a loan on 6.04% interest for 36 months with MINI Financial services. Not bad at all. Plus I am getting a $500+ rebate for using them (Thanks to my MINI Visa Platinum card points).

Very happy with the deal.

Well I think I finally figured out how I'm going to pay for mine. My wife has decided to let us trade or sell the 04 Pepper White, and we will finance through Northeast Credit Union in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. It'll be 3.49% for 60 months. Can anyone be that?!

One catch though... the 04 is an auto, and the Clubman is a manual. My wife has never driven manual, and she hasn't driven with me in a manual Cooper before. So, I'll have to be on my best behavior for that initial test drive in order to make sure this all goes smoothly.

Manual is fun, but my wife doesn't know how to drive one. I bought a BMW Z4 (manual tranny) almost a year ago and she said she would learn. Well, that experiment failed, and I had to get rid of the car. The good result was that I decided to get the Mini Clubman-----automatic of course. Good luck!

Wife does not drive manual either and not interested, so I am the only driver of the R53 manual. The automatic Clubman seems to be very good but I need more seat time in it to form my impressions..

I shopped around and found a 4.99% rate if I applied on-line with my credit union. When the MA asked about financing arrangements, and I told him the rate I'd gotten, he had the finance guy call me and to my great surprise was able to arrange a 4.29% loan for the same amount (I only partially financed put the rest down) through Bank of America. I didn't think they'd be able to better my rate, but if you have already secured a loan somewhere else let them know, and see if they can beat it!

Although I didn't finance with USAA I do carry all my insurance with them and had to call and speak with a rep when I couldn't add the new Clubman to my auto policy on-line. Turns out it is so new the model doesn't appear in their system yet, so the rep had to manually add it!
