You can and it clears all the scraping problems if you don't like the noise. My current MINI is very low, and that plastic strip was touching the ground when PARKED....I removed it and haven't made a scraping sound since.

Great.. I wonder if the rubber strip has any function? Maybe it's there for stability reasons?

Do you have pictures? I wonder how it looks.

It's an aerodynamic thing that redirects the air under the car....but lowering the vehicle has very similar effects so you don't notice any difference.

I don't have any good close ups or anything, but if you're car is lowered I don't think there is any way for anyone to see that part of your car anyway. It just looks like a normal bumper minus the little lip under the car.

In this pic you can kinda see where i trimmed it up on the left side under the car. Not the best pic to show the part....but its the best I've got

Thanks a lot... I know that the rubbers can be removed but I dont know if it is good for the security of your bumper... Those advises you about the ground change and if you could pass through there or not... :S

But I think that finally I'll remove them...

I felt the same way. I liked the security of knowing about big bumps....so what I did, was to only cut it up halfway. That way, it doesn't scrape ALL the time, but it will scrape if there is a bad bump ahead. Hope that helps

Glad to hear it worked out for you....I knew it would. Everyone is worried about lowering their MINI's because they hear the scraping noise of that piece and get worried....but the truth is, besides that minor part, the MINI has A LOT of ground clearance which is perfect for lowering

Car is looking good xbox
