Option recs from me:

I went with the 16" S-winders. I think they look fairly nice, are pretty much the lightest wheels of all (save the pathetic 15"s) = better mileage. My advice: Dont get the Sport package. If you dont like the S-winders after a while of having them, there are plenty of folks selling various 17"s for much less than the OEM price. And you get to do a little road trip to pick them up.

So, you can avoid the Sport pkg. You wont need the sport susp unless you are track driving. This thing is a blast in handling from stock.

The stripes are a deal if you like them. You will have to pay dealer install fees or someone with skill at a local garage to install them aftermarket, which is way more than the $100 they charge for the factory install.

As for the Xenons, I really like them after driving my dad's BMW 530. If I cant find a decent set of replacement halogen bulbs for my 07 MCS, then they are definitely going to be on my next MINI (probably the Clubman). If I add them, it will be for $500 and not in the $1500 sport pkg for the reasons above.

My 2 cents on the Sport pkg. Hope it helps.

Once you get Xenons there is no going back

MIB had Xenons. There is no going back. The next new car I get will have Xenons.

Aonach, Thanks for the tip on the sports package. I am sure to get aftermarket wheels to replace the 16" bridgespokes.

What about chrome interior and/or exterior? I'm like a magpie and am fascinated by shiny, shiny things. But my best friend says it will look like a platinum grill, and my husband just looks miserable. :-)

I like chrome but not so much in a vehicles interior. I did not get it on the outside either.

I am tryimg to build my clubman and can't decide if I should add the convenience package or add things separate!!!! Is the comfort access system necessary since you have remote entry? I have a portable Garmin with Bluetooth so I don't think I need the Bluetooth phone prep. The rain sensors and auto headlamps don't seem that important to me and I have read a lot of negative posts regarding the armrest. Also is the garage door opener and auto dimming mirror worth $500 separate? The only thing in the package that I really want is the multi function steering wheel. Thanks for the input.
