R52 Why I'm Saying Bye-Bye to My MINI
#26
Sounds like you need a check up from the neck-up...
Just kidding. The Mini is a great car but as noted maybe not your cup of tea. My wife hates it and doesn't like driving it (thank God)!
Seriously... Check out the BMW M3 or the M5 or the Honda S2000. My wife drives the M5 Touring and she loves it. It's an awesome grocery getter, Kid transporter, dog kennel, and bike rack, Home Depot runner! It will also leave some serious rubber if you switch to M-Mode and nail it all the way up to the top speed limiter. I live in the UK and frequently travel to Frankfurt where you can drive at high speeds safely. The wife drives the M5 and I drive the Mini.
I am not an M5 person, I am a Mini crazed freak of nature. Good luck with your search and do let us know what you choose for your next car.
BEWARE... Subaru's are great, but the styling and little plastic bits just get ugly after a while. My neighbor 2 doors down has one and is eating some serious depreciation now that he is trying to sell it.
Kinda like wood panelled station wagons. I am sure they looked cool in the 70's but you wouldn't pay top dollar today.
Good Luck.
PS: Make sure your Mini goes to a good home.

The rear facing seats are a pain, but after the kids are a year old, you can move to the front facing ones and you have a LOT more room. I currently have 2 in our convertible.
From your list of choices, I would avoid the Mustang, just more of the same problems you are having now. The rear seats are even worse. The MINI's have an angle to them while the Mustang's are relatively flat.

Watch out Spicey!
there's a VAN in nirVANa! Follow that logic and you'll end up in an Oddesy!

Back on-topic. Not all cars are for all people. There are a lot of hot hatches out there now. Here's a thought... Get an old Ferrari Mondial! Sure, it's not as pretty as the rest of the red cars, but they're cheap, and you get that italian prancing horse V8 sound.......
