Brrrrrrrr!
Just google earthed your area, BlueBonnet. Thanks for the geography and climatology lessons. Must be beautiful.
I suppose comparitively speaking, you must get lots more sunshine, but I prefer to compare to Seattle or Rochester - then CT sunny day count looks much better! We do get lots of crisp sunny days in winter - the day after a blizzard is awesome!

And Snapper...heated gloves - very enticing...but where do the cords go!!?? I have trouble enough with myhandsfree...
How do you do it on your bike?

I think I will go with toomuchfun's pop-top mittens with glove liners underneath.

Hey - FIFTIES all this week - balmy!!!!

Ooooo.. good call, glove liners. I have a pair sitting in my closet that I completely forgot about!

Although I may not need them anymore considering it's getting warmer. And I just bought fingered driving gloves for the coming spring.

Anyone know where to get fingerless driving gloves in bright red or bright blue?

Try windsurfing gloves - I have a pair that are blue like your car, neoprene backs, with white suede grips. Never tried 'em for driving, though!

You can find them at a board store (surf shop), sailing store, etc.

Glove cords connect to pull-out cords at the ends of the sleeves of the electric jacket. A cord from the jacket, around the belly button area, connects to the bike electrical system at the tank/seat junction.

If you think heated seats are nice.... this is pure luxury

Thanks for all the tips to get me through my first top-down winter...

It was a blast, but I am VERY HAPPY to put the blanket and earmuffs away.

Here in Connecticut we've had 3 days straight of genuine warm, sunny days!!!
Hooray!!!!!!!!

You are definately not alone with the sub-freezing top down motoring. My dad and I both cruise around when its 30 degrees out. My friends think I'm out of my mind, but with gloves/coat and heat blasting it's great. Definately get some strange looks though. Thumbs up!
