R52 Preferred Sunblock?

29 and Holding
I got a bottle of Bath & Body Works "29 and Holding" from my sister after a 2-day sunburn. It's spray-on, seems to last all day (6 - 8 hours), not greasy, no fragrance, doesn't sweat off, leaves no color on your skin, and best of all... the bottle fits in the glovebox! (We all know how space is a premium in that glovebox!!)
It's a little pricier than others, but I like the fact that I can spray it on at a red light and not get it all over the car, AND not have to rub it in with my hands (so you don't have to clean them off before grabbing the steering wheel.)
PS- Preferred OTC allergy pill: Target's brand of Claritin, 24 hour. The pollen down here is terrible!

Is it true...Sunblock Lore
Is it true that anything over 30 SPF is basically just marketing? I'm freckled and fair and I buy 45+, but I don't want to waste my money.
What I need is a sunblock that reminds you to REapply. I'm a crispy critter by the end of the day, especially when shiny & distracting MINIs are involved.
