Rear Window Decals???

This may be a stupid question but...

I just installed 2 decals on my rear window. Afterwards (while I was admiring my handywork ) a thought crept into my head... Did I just do something stupid? How are these decals going to hold up when I lower my top? Will they rub off on my nice black canvas top? Will the top scratch the decals up? You know the top sits right on the outside of the window.

Anybody w/a convertible have rear window decals? If so how are they holding up?

Rear window decals

The rear window decals will be fine, lowering the top will not affect them.

I have a static-cling club sticker across mine--been on there for at least a year and is doing just fine.

If a window sticker problem is your only roof issue, count your blessings!

I thought about putting a decal on the rear window but it would only be seen when parked.

I plan on putting my Motoring ID back there - but attached to some flat surface that I will affix to the back of the roll bars. Weighing the maximum opportunity to see the ID, I figured it would be good incentive to keep the top down !!

I have several decals on my back window - most have been on for well over a year and they are all holding up great!...

Hey Bill... show some pics after you put them on the rollbars. I was trying to figure out where to put the motoring ID also. I was thinking of using a reflective decal so it could be seen even with the top up.

Has anyone out there tried this on their cabrio and has pics?

The only problem with rear window decals, is if for some reason (wear issues or otherwise) your top has to be replaced, bye bye window decals. (had it happen once already)

I will try this out soon. There is so little visibility out the back that I am not planning to do anything that reduces it even a little - since I bought the white lettering directly from the MINI USA site, I may be looking for a black piece of rigid plastic (oval or square) that will blend color wise into the rear leather headrests and then just zip tie it somehow to the back of the rollbar loops right behind the left headrest. Have not examined things closely yet to see if this works.....

Agree with Meg. My BBMA sticker and Pagoda run sticker are long ago memories because of the roof replacement. Won't do that again. And I remember you saying about not putting them on the side rear windows because of the cresent marks?
