Is there any way to find out just how many have been made.

Would be cool to see a breakdown of all the colors.

Count yourself in and WELCOME! I love the Blue/Orange seats. Gromit doesn't have them, but then we found him sitting on a dealers lot waiting to be adopted.

Quite some time back, someone had a list posted of the breakdown of colors, but I don't remember where or when. I do remember Hot Orange was no where near the top.

When we started shopping for a MINI, we looked online and built the car a million times. I remember seeing the orange and saying "No way in h*** would I have a car that color!" Then we saw one in person, and it became "There's no way I would have any other color!" The MA at our dealer said that no one seemed to order the Hot Orange, but if the dealer ordered one for their stock, it never sat on the lot very long.

Was the same for us.... Very unsure of the color off the MINI site, when we saw it in person there was no other choice. And now that I am thinking of a second MINI I can't get one. I hope that MINI will bring some new flashy colors back in the future.

Okay, no new posts in this thread since July. Time for a shameless bump.

I thought some of the Hot Orange owners might be interested in this. Since our wonderful color seems to be an endangered species, I guess we need to show our Hot Orange pride.

I wasn't even shopping for a car but I saw a picture of a hot orange mini and needed to have one. There was a couple for sale in the state but I really didn't want a car payment before Christmas. The local dealership got one on a lease return and offered it at a fair price so I got my Hot Orange Mini a few weeks ago. Ya!

Hi,
I just purchased my first MINI. 2006 MCSCa, HO/Blue, DSC, premium, sport, cold weather, convenience and chrono pkgs. I love this car - I'm in Michigan and have learned very quickly that I need snow tires and I'm looking for rims and wheels.

Welcome, Mary! Looks like you got a nice MINI-and of course a GREAT color.

If you haven't posted in the 1st Gear section you may want to introduce yourself there, also. Don't be surprised if folks ask for pics of your car. We love admiring other MINIs.

What part of Michigan? We have friends in Grand Rapids. They have a HyperBlue/White MCS.

If you haven't done so, please put a marker on the Hot Orange Frappr Map. There is a link in my sig.

Thanks, I did the black out myself with 3m flat black vinyl..Did the headlight rings, door handles with them on the car. Took the rear license plate light cover off and wraped it..Also did beltline with same vinyl.

Yep, orange tint. Got it from Gilafilms.com

Just H-sport springs. Looks lower in pic then really is sitting still. Must be braking there for the front to be down like it is. That is the point that my girlfriend has the "oh-?*#" look and is holding hold for her life..

N2MINI - I'd like more info on how you wrapped the door handles and a close-up pic if you have one. I've done the grille vinyl blackout project (several times, in fact) but I'm not sure how you wrapped such a curved shape. Was heating of the vinyl required, and did you have to remove the handles form the car? I assume you did, but...

Looking forward to learning more.

HO for Sale!

If anyone's interesting in BECOMING a Hot Orange owner, we're selling one of our two HOs in the "DCMM/for sale" section. Take a peek! He's a real beaut!

(Note: The MINI for sale is not the one listed in my signature line. She's ALL mine!)

Just thought I'd say hello here also. (introduced myself at the newbie section)

Bought an '05 HO from a dealer in CO. It'll be shipped here next week hopefully. It seems perfect but we'll keep our fingers crossed.

Here's my new to me baby....
