R52 Convertible drip
I have an 05 MCSc and have lived with the Drip year round in the Seattle area. Last weekend I had an 07 cabrio loaner from the dealer and was driving in the rain (August in Seattle) when I noticed there was no drip when I opened and closed the doors. When I returned the loaner today I noticed that MINI has redesigned the rubber strip that runs up the A pillars and across the the top. There is an additional drain cup right at the corners where the drip comes in. The parts department said there is only one part number for all years of cabrios, so the new improved part should retrofit the old cabrios. The bad news was the dealer wanted $590 for the part and installation. Has anyone done this yet and could you install this part yourself?
