My car has been in the shop for 3 MONTHS now!!! I brought it in for a simple tune up at 100,000 miles. It WAS running fine. Before I brought it in I had to replace the battery and shortly after that I noticed the instrument panel lights going nuts and the speedo go from 0 to 60 while sitting still. BUT the car was running smooth as silk and fast outta the gate (6 speed manual). After the tune up (they just changed the plugs, they said the wires were fine and so were the coils) when I brought it home I noticed when I revved the engine I felt what seemed like a slight misfire. I brought it back to the shop. BTW.....they are a specialty shop for german/english cars. Now 3 months later and new sparker wires, new coils, supposedly checking for pressure in the cylinders and replacing the ECM they tell me the misfire is "JUMPING" FROM CYLINDER 2 TO CYLINDER 3!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!?????? 3 EFFEN MONTHS!!!!!!! I had them remove the tach and drive the car but that only made the car run worse!!!!! I'm going nuts!!!!! I want my car back but I have no clue what to do and apparently neither do they!!!! HELP!!!!!

Did the shop check the coil?

 

Pull the plugs and see if they are fakes. Fake NGK stuff is everywhere.

 

Do you think a specialty shop might not realize the firing order? this is so crazy! I have NEVER had a car stuck in a shop for 3 MONTHS!!!!
