Has anyone replaced the front upper weather stripping / gasket on their Mini convertible top at the windshield? Needed to? It seems like this part on mine is getting rather firm and a little crusty in a few places. I've also got some wind noise when the top is up. I know it can be adjusted but I haven't taken the time to do it yet as I mostly drive it with the top down. When I was looking at it the other day I noticed that it isn't very soft, especially at the corners where the top latches.

I think this is the part. I'm surprised its all one piece.

 

I havent replaced it as its fairly pricey, but the corner bits (near 12) were lifting on mine which was adding to the wind noise. They wouldnt clip back in place so I used some black silicone underneath to encourage them to stay put, and its quieter now.

 

Hit it with some gummi fledge to help it over the years, if its warn really bad replace it so you dont get leaks.
