Why R Carbotech Bobcat 1521s so expensive?

I am REALLY happy with my Carbotech Bobcat 1521s, but it's about time to order some more and the pricing, where I can find them at all, is insane, almost twice the price of the alternatives. $286 for all 4 at Sneeds versus $136 for Brembos or $155 for Green stuff (WMW). Anybody know why, or where I can get them for a reasonable price? I also like that they are red

Carbotech is a pretty small company and proud of their pads. They aren't bad pads but they aren't worth the cost IMO unless you are getting track ONLY RACE pads. Otherwise the EBCs, Akebono, and Brembo pads are better more cost effective alternatives.
