If you want to full remove the down tubes, the grey trim in front of the speedo needs to come off.

You can unscrew the four screws and slide them up then flare to teh side, eg to unscrew the radio, but to remove, the trim around the speedo needs to come off.

To access the screw on the steering wheel side of the car, pull down on the trim, it is how you access the fuse box.

What exactly are you trying to do? remove the downtubes, move the downtubes to remove remove the radio or remove the cup holders?

remove the downtubes so i can install my wyatt cup holders. the 06 has a lip on the bottom of the tubes so the center console has to come out and pull the downtubes from below.
