I went to see a 2006 convertible here at a local dealer. (I know, not my favorite either. Car is on consignment by a friend of the gm there. Whatever.)

I was really drawn to the color- pepper white w navy top and interior. But on closer inspection some of the details leave me a little...meh. Specifically, it has an aftermarket air box (Alta- not that that's a bad thing) that looks to be missing a part; behind the air box, up by the cowl/firewall, I can see/touch a red spongy filter. My question is: should that be simply wide open like that, or?

Car has 60k on it; aesthetically pretty nice. Everything works. No papers (which concerns me.) Asking $15k.

Many people remove that plastic separator panel with aftermarket air filters. In most cases you have to either remove it completely or cut large hole for the airfilter.

This allows fresh air from the windshield air cowl to the air filter.


Honestly though $15k sounds way overpriced for no papers and 60k miles
Check the minis for sale on this site for comparison though.
