R52 Something snapped- first movement of roof won't move

Something snapped- first movement of roof won't move
I was opening the convertible top when the "sun roof" tried to open. One side unlocked and one didn't. Something snapped. Motor is good. Can't figure out how to get access to the part that snapped. Ideas?
