anyone have a NY dealer replace their top

Im in Long Island and my dealer/factory rep (Hassell)will only cover the parts to replace my convertable top(due to the common excessive) wear marks. The dealer wants $900 for the labor. Has anyone found a dealer that would be a little more friendly?? thanks

I know that central NJ is a distance, but Princeton Mini replaced the top on my 07 MCc at no cost to me. My Mini has about 8 months left on the factory warranty. You may want to give them a call and see what they can do, or they may know of a place closer to you for the repairs. You could also try Mini of Morristown, or Prestige Mini, they are closer.

Negotiate some more

The first offer that I received from MiniUSA was parts only. I was able to negotiate full replacement at 4 years/50,000 miles (as long as the fabric does not tear). See:

Also, if you get the chance, fill out my poll. It is unnerving the number of problems that seem to be cropping up with the mini convertible roof.

Thanks.
