Finally took my 2005CS in for service

My 2005 CS was about to go past the 4 year mark so I called to get it towed to the nearest service center for a couple of issues. What iniated the call was the mini would not start due to a low battery.

I'm 100 miles away from where I purchased it and asked mini to come and get it with a carry truck. They said all they could do is send a tow truck to our home to jump-start it so we could drive it in for service. If I had said OK to that we would have made it about halfway there because the car had a bad alternator.... So I told them it was overheating intermittently and we were afraid to drive it that far.

That was enough to get the tow truck service.

My trouble complaints were that the drivers door was not opening as it should. I wanted a full service, the rear windows had a small scratch on each side and the top was showing signs of wear.

Actually the top was fine in my opinion - it was my wife that thought the top was fading at the sopts where the bars held it up.

The mini was towed to the closest mini dealer - in our case Concord Mini.

Our mileage on the 2005 Mimi - 7021 miles. (We only use it occasionally and it is garaged)

Bottom line - It was there for three weeks. They serviced it and found the alternator was bad along with the battery. I had to pay for a new battery and the service after they told me the warranty only covered three years for service. - No biggie I'm OK with that.

Next they replaced the windows and found that they could not get the seals necessary from Germany to finish the job. They called again and said they would have to replace the top.

I received a new alternator, they replaced the rear windows, fixed the door, replaced the top, the alternator, serviced the car and I had them deliver it back to our home for $80.00.

I'm a happy camper.

excellent! sounds like Mini did you right. So far I am also very happy with the level of service I have been getting on my 06 MCS.

You do need to put some more miles on her though.
