R52 Cabrio Non-S Engine upgrades
Cabrio Non-S Engine upgrades
I know a lot of people are going to to tell me that if you want upgrades get an S. Well I'm stuck with what I have and was wondering if anyone out there did any non S upgrades? If so what were they and how does your Non-S run?

I have a NON-S and there are a few things you can do to improve the delivery of power. Then focus on suspension and a driving school and you'll school many "S" MINI's you play with.
Please PM me to talk about the details.

My performance mods are:
Understrut System- ( atleast 2 companies make them )
Rear sway bar upgrade ( who doesn't make one!! )
CAI ( cold air intake, not really cold, but does have a heat shield )
ECU tune
Coilovers with camber plates ( in box, in garage, yet to be installed )
A couple of driving schools/auto crosses

I have a non-S cabrio. By far, the biggest engine upgrade for me has been a custom ECU tune from RMW. I previously had an MTH tune that produced only a small effect. I also have upgraded intake and exhaust, but on a non-S those are only for audio and visual bling. You should mostly concentrate on suspension, wheels and tires for upgrading a non-S.
Start with an intake http://www.waymotorworks.com/product...cat=295&page=2 It is the biggest bang for you buck to start with. Then you can add other stuff later.
