We have an 08 mini cooper convertible. Should I anticipate the weeping wipes issue and just drain my wiper fluid right now to save my stripes?
I wasn't sure if the issue was just with the mini cooper S or with all including the 08 convertibles?

 

I'm not familiar with the issue relating to rag tops. I seem to remember reading that tin tops had issues with the rear wiper/washer weeping goo onto the rear window.... I've never had any issues with my rag tops washers, other than the occasional clogging of the orifice.

 

I agree. I'm not quite sure what the OP is referring to. My stripes are fine both front & back

Same here, no issue with weeping wipers.

Btw, why the worry about the stripes? If you put on some protectant from the get go, the washer fluid won't harm them... besides, they're vinyl, they can be cleaned with most vinyl specific cleaners. Just a thought.

There are about 50 posts... but beginning with post #16 ... the weeping wiper issues come up.....

Sounds like it has not been an issue.. phew... that would be great news.
