BCM kinda dead?
Hello everyone,
So yesterday I replaced my very dead fuel pump (30 min job, no big deal besides that I just filled the tank the day before it failed... of course it has to fail on an almost full tank). From cranking on the process of diagnosing the pump failure, my battery went flat. Well, I have a jump pack that goes from 12 to 16 to 19 volts... you see where this is gong now, my dumb self didn't realized where the **** was pointing and fed the car 19 volts. It started but I noticed several issues, body function related:
- Running lights on the rear don't turn on
- Headlights (factory HID's) stay on all the time, even when turn them off with the stalk (they turn off when the car is off)
- When the lights stalk is in the "auto" position, front running and position lights stay on, even with the key removed from the ignition, and it dings when this happens. I have to turn with the stalk to the off position with the key removed so the lights turn off.
- Some interior lights don't turn on
- Soft top opens but only to the "sunroof" stage, it doesn't open fully, doesn't start the second stage (pump doesn't start)
- Rear windows don't go down
- Auto lock of the doors at 10 km/h doesn't work (the lock switch works though)
- Auto up on the driver's window doesn't work
That's al the sympthoms I've noticed so far, everything else works. So I plugged into INPA and scanned the modules, with this result:
On the left is the backup report that I made when i just got INPA to work a few years ago, on the right there's a report that I took last night after I noticed the sympthoms. All other modules match the backup.
So, am I looking at a dead BCM?
Please input your thoughts.
Thanks!
