Anyone able to confirm boot mat sizes?
I have searched all around the net and other forums, and have not found anyone showing convertible boot mats that are differenet depending on if you have a convertible or a hatch.
I happily popped in my good friend's gift oif her boot mat from her '06 Cooper into my '06 'vert :D, and was terribly dismayed :( when it ALMOST fit...
THe back corners seem too wide!
When I went to folks who sell them, none of them show different part numbers for verts vs non.
Any experts who can chime in?

Yes, the folding top mechanism eats up some width in the back of the car - that's why the cabrio back seat and boot are narrower than in the hatchback. (And also why all convertibles have the flush body-coloured fuel-filler door instead of the chrome flip-up gas cap cover).

What companies have you looked at in your search for boot mats? The factory rubber mat is obviously different between the hatchback and the convertible, and I know the Cocomats boot mat is custom-fit for the convertible boot (although more expensive than I'd pay for a boot mat, even if I didn't already have the MINI rubber mat).

 

Get the factory ones from any dealer. I got mine mail order from Classic MINI. Morristown MINI also has discount prices.

I agree - it is a tad expensive... That's why I was so disappointed when the one I "inherited" didn't fit!
