Did you all get an email from "championbuilder"?

Did anyone else get an email from (says championbuilder @ North American Motoring [championbuilder@aol.com] but really is championbuilder@aol.com on Saturday?

The exact contents of the email is/was:

This is a message from championbuilder at North American Motoring ( [/SIZE][SIZE=2]https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/index.php[/SIZE][SIZE=2] ). The North American Motoring owners cannot accept any responsibility for the contents of the email.

You merely received email from someone rather than a PM. If you click on someone's name, there is an option for emailing them AND one for PM'ing them. If you email, your address is exposed and the text you quoted is sent along with the message.

Actually it doesn't expose your email to the user wanting to send you something. It hides that but bundles their message up and emails it to you. In some regards this is really equivalent to the email notification you get for a PM.

If you don't want to allow people to email you just disable that as an option in User CP. Again, it does expose your actual email address so that someone can see it.

What I meant is that the person sending the email has his or her address exposed, hence the "championbuilder" in the OP's message.
