How many cabrios here have two different VIN numbers?
Who else here was involved in the debacle where their 2006 convertibles were mistakenly stamped with 2007 VIN numbers? I remember two or three other people here that were commiserating with me during the delay, but I was curious how many of the 147 affected cars ended up belonging to NAM members.
If you're curious whether your 2006 was one of the 147 cars (maybe you bought yours used), you can look at the passenger-side strut tower under the hood. Affected cars have two VINs stamped there, with one crossed out, like this:

Wow - MoS must sell a TON of cars if they ordered six convertibles in such a short time that they were all affected by the VIN screwup.
With only 147 cars involved, and over 1,600 MINI dealers worldwide, I figured most dealers never saw one, and the ones that did would have only gotten 1 or 2 at the most.
I got mine at Checkered Flag MINI in Virginia Beach, and although they sell a lot of cars, mine was the only double-VIN one they received.
