OK - I ordererd the car this evening, thank you to all of you for wonderful, wonderful feedback & suggestions !!

2008 BRG, black Bonnets, JCW pkg, Sidewalk Pkg, Digital Power Sound (2 grand....best be worth it), and a buch of other stuff bringing my car to $45,000 -- when I started I told my wife this car was only 20K and got great gas mileage - all in all I think she took it like a champ

I think you may have gotten on a LIST, but trust me, there are no orders, prices, photos, brochures....NOTHING yet & won't be for months!!!!

 

List? I don't know, maybe I suppose. But I have a purchase contract and I wrote a check for a grand and was given the pricing for the 2008 model. Seemed to me that I purchased a car more so than was "put on a list"

 

???? Shell, are you thinking of the new version of the Cabrio? Those will be out in 2009, not 2008.

The 2008's will be just like the 2005-2007's so yes, the brochures, etc are essentially out.

I just saw the printout at the dealer about the 2008. Seems that you can CHOOSE which engine you want, Turbo or Supercharged! Kind of nice, but I think it is still the same body style, and still called the R52.

Irishcowindc has the Digital power sound... It's amazing! I'm blown away there is a factory mini that expensive... jeez!

 

I am very pleased to hear positive feed back on the Digital Power Sound.

The Mini could have cost a lot more actually would have topped 50K if optioned out and you didn't negotiate the install costs. This Mini had another $4,000 in charges that I had the dealer pick up. they basically double the price of the accessories for install.

As for Mini's getting up in price, the Sidewalk Package & JCW Package are $10,000 upgrades....that kinda does it right there. I needed those upgrades tho, the $2,000 for Digital music....well, you know...

I was told they begin production on September 1 so I won't be seeing this little bugger until end of October or early November. It'll be a little while, but I'll post a picture down the road.

Wow, a 2008 decked out in style.

I thought about waiting to order a 2008, for about a split second. I'm not good at the waiting game. My little 6 week waiting effort brought out more gray hair than I care to discuss.

 

Exactly!! I could hardly stand the 4 weeks I did wait!!! 4 Aug finally came and Saffron is here!!!

 

Damn, that's one pricey Mini. I didn't even know you could spend that much on one of these.

Good luck waiting that long. My other half wanted me to wait until the 2009's came out...HA!!! Like that's going to happen! We compromised on a used 2005 MCc now and then a new 2009 MCSc when they come out.
