I did it on my own. I installed my Aero Grill on my 2002 R53. Unfortunately the bottom Grille is not flush with the bumper.

I trimmed of 1/2 inch of material but it wasn't enough. Is that a no-no to have it not sitting flush? If so, I guess I need to remove bumper to get at tabs to remove and slim it down.

Give me your thoughts.

 

Im sure it will bug you more than anyone else. You know exactly where to look. I am **** and it would probably bug me to no end.

 

you'll probably have to make it flush, I put on stripes and put the "Cooper S" on slightly crooked, it bugged me so much I had to strip the letters off again and I started over

 

I did the same mod a few weeks ago. Mine does not sit flush either. You would have to do major surgery to the bumper cover to get the grille flush. It still looks great and I get a lot of compliments.

 

Mine doesnt sit flush either, i think it looks good anyway, dont bother me at all!!
