R50/53 350Z VS. MINI
>>A check of the SCCA Nationals results showed the fastest MCS with a time of 104.278 (DS), the fastest MINI was 104.072 (HS).
>>
>>hmmmm....is that correct...not that much difference in the MC & MCS ?? What do you attribute that to, the weight advantage of the MC ??
A couple of things on the MINI vs. MCS at nationals. The fastest S was driven by Brian Garfield, who is very fast. In fact he is the HS ProSolo Champion, in a MINI. The MCS last year was classed in DS and went up against cars such as the Acura Integra Type R (190hp w/lsd), because of this many top drivers realized the MCS was misclassed and chose a different car. This year the MCS is in GS and will face cars such as Neons, Celicas, Civic SI, Acura RSX Type S, Nissan SE-R (non Spec V).
